multi-family residential

universal multi-family (and student) design has come a long, long way.

At Studio Pacifica, we’ve had a front-row seat in terms of witnessing the booming urban multi-family, mixed-use, and student housing development market.

In fact, it’s not stretching the truth to say our team has been trusted with thousands of unit reviews and hundreds of residential drawing set reviews. Our task? To make sure all meets with multi-family code regulations as well as with the Fair Housing Act.

Even better, in many cases we’ve been invited early in the design process to recommend ways accessibility (and adaptive features) can be incorporated into the core concept. This proactive approach can save money and time down the road—and result in a more beautiful, highly useable building.

The truth is, we’ve also seen mistakes. It’s difficult for any design team to keep up with ever changing rules and regulations. At Studio Pacifica, our specialized consulting focus provides direction, clarity, and an awareness of the most recent changes every step of the way.

If a project requires community outreach, our team has experience planning for accessible meeting sites and moderating community discussions.
