when you reach a business destination, getting in the door is key.
Corporate headquarters, business buildings, an office complex—all require site specific accessibility accommodations by law as well as by the need of firms to create highly useable projects that serve employees and visitors of all abilities and ages.
In support of a design team’s core concept, Studio Pacifica consults on areas of exterior concern including identifying accessible routes from all means of entering a site, an assessment of public transit, parking, and drop-off locations. In hilly urban terrain (such as in downtown Seattle), identifying the best accessible route means careful siting to limit vertical incline. Inside the building, accessibility consulting includes such things as evaluating elevators, common spaces, doorways, and toilet rooms. Outside, the hardscape and landscape are evaluated in terms of potential barriers.
For commercial clients, Studio Pacifica advises on best practices, code compliance, and wayfinding that meets the needs of people of all abilities and ages.
