Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. — Mahatma Gandhi
These words remind me of my friend and “sister” in disability, Neeru Sharma, who recently passed, too early in her life. What she may have lacked in physical capacity, she compensated for in her strength: great “communication and management skills”, shared her dear friend, Jamie, at a recent memorial for Neeru. This positive, engaging spirit served her well, making her a valued employee, daughter, sister, friend, sorority sister. Neeru was blessed with parents and family who were proud of her and encouraged her, despite any challenges she faced, but they were also blessed to have her in their lives as well.
I will strive to engage MY positive attitude and good communication as I move forward in life, in honor of Neeru and her indomitable will.
