DO-ITI had the privilege of working with staff at DO-IT at the  University of Washington earlier this summer on a pilot program to introduce students with disabilities to design careers.  We ran a two-day long workshop, gathering professionals and educators in a wide variety of design careers together with students to highlight opportunities in design.  With new technologies, design careers are more open than ever to those with mobility and sensory limitations.  As users, people with disabilities can bring their perspective to the design of objects, places and websites.

Here is the link to a DO-IT brochure about the opportunities available.
